Fuel distribution under the purview of ex-military officer

Preparations are being made to appoint Major General (Retired) M.R.W. De Soyza as the new Chairman of Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminal Limited (CPSTL).

Previously he served as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Land Reclamation and Development Corporation.

Meanwhile, the Energy Ministry claims that the fuel crisis currently experienced in the country, could be resolved by tomorrow (10).

Two diesel ships are currently being unloaded with a total fuel capacity of 65,000 metric tons.Another fuel shipment is scheduled to arrive in the country shortly.

Another retired army officer to be given a secretary post!Meanwhile, a retired Army Major General was recently appointed as the Secretary to the State Ministry of Disaster Management.He is A.W.P. Palitha Fernando.
