Local saline on the market from yesterday
The State Pharmaceutical Corporation has taken steps to release locally manufactured saline products to the local market for the first time yesterday (15).
This saline is manufactured under the Vistas of Prosperity concept of ‘New Country – New Medicine’. This saline is manufactured locally by Kelun Life Sciences (Pvt) Ltd. is fully owned by the State Pharmaceutical Corporation with the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Accordingly, the Pharmaceutical Corporation releases this product to the local market through Chartered Dealers.
The annual requirement for saline (Large Volume Parentals) for saline transfusions as well as wound cleansing, sinus removal and other therapies as treatment for reduced water content of the blood due to various ailments, is estimated to be around 26 million.
