Sapugaskanda closed down again; Diesel shipment expected tomorrow
The Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery has decided to close down again from tomorrow (20) night, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation said.
It is reported that this decision had been taken due to insufficient stocks of crude oil for refinery operations.
However, it is also reported that crude oil has been ordered from several companies. According to a spokesman however,
A spokesman said that a specific date for receiving the orders had not yet been announced.The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) says operations would resume at the refinery as soon as the order is received.
