US ambassador thanks Ranil
Former Prime Minister – Ranil Wickremasinghe met the new US Ambassador to Sri Lanka – Julie Chung today morning (21).
The meeting had taken place at Mr. Wickremesinghe’s residence in Colombo.
‘Sri Lanka Mirror’ learns that the discussion had continued for an hour or so.
The Ambassador had noted on Twitter that a vibrant political opposition is vital in any healthy democracy.
She thanked the former PM for meeting with her to discuss ways the US and Sri Lanka can work together to find sustainable solutions to today’s urgent economic challenges.
