Fourth death reported from filling station
A man who had been standing in line to obtain fuel at a filling station in Meerigama had collapsed on his way out after obtaining fuel and had died upon being admitted to hospital.
The man had come in a three wheeler and having obtained three cans of fuel, he had taken two cans and placed them in the three wheeler. While taking the third can, he had collapsed and the police officers on duty had rushed him to the Meerigama hospital in an ambulance.
However, he was pronounced dead on admission to the hospital.
