25 hospitalised due to lightning strike
Twenty five persons have been hospitalised after being struck by lightning at a cemetery yesterday (26).
The incident had taken place at a cemetery in the Baminiwatta area of Mawanella.
Police say there are 07 children among those who were hospitalised.
They had been rushed to the Mawanella hospital in shock and with minor injuries, and none of them are in critical condition, reports add.
