Rugby referee was assaulted by ‘Siyapatha’ Operations Manager!
The man who had assaulted referee Nuwan Lakshan during the rugby match between Trinity College and St. Thomas’ College last Saturday (26) has been identified.
The individual has been identified as Sanjeewa Bandara Dodangwatte, the Chief Operations Manager of Siyapatha Finance.
Meanwhile, Speaking to ‘Sri Lanka Mirror’, chairman of the Sri Lanka Society of Rugby Football Referees (SLSRFR) – Dinka Peiris said that the assaulted referee has lodged a complaint with the Narahenpita police in this regard.
It is also reported that Sanjeewa Bandara’s son plays for Trinity College as the No. 10 fly-half.
