Another person dies while in fuel queue in Athurugiriya
An 85-year-old who had gone to obtain fuel from a fuel station in the Athurugiriya area had died on the 26th, it is reported.
The victim has been identified as M. Jinadasa Perera, a resident of Galpotta Road, Athurugiriya.
He had met with this unfortunate incident while he had come in his van to obtain fuel.
He was a heart patient. With the latest death, a total of five persons have so far died while waiting in queues to obtain fuel.
