Ariyawathie hooted at for trying to safeguard the govt
Former Provincial Council Minister Ariyawathie Galappaththi who participated in a program organized by the National Fisheries Cooperation Movement and the Eastern Provincial Council Women’s Federation on the occasion of ‘International Women’s Day’ faced strong protests from the people yesterday.
She was hooted at when she had attempted to override the program schedule and tried to address the crowd. She was asked to leave the event.
The people had got irritated and started hooting when she had tried to claim that the government was not responsible for the current situation in the country.
