ARCHBISHOP OF COLOMBO QUIPS PRESIDENT AND GOVERNMENT IN THE BLUES WITH MASSIVE PEOPLE’S PROTESTS

”President, government struck by the people’s curse”

Archbishop of Colombo Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, said that the President and the government should be reminded today that conspirators can seize power but they cannot sustain it and they have to face the curse of concealing the Easter conspiracy.

He expressed these views during a protest held in the Negombo town yesterday (09).

”There is no point in gaining power by instigating racism and religious bigotry. They don’t know how to use the power properly. That is perhaps why the country is facing such a complicated situation with no way forward. They palmed the blame on the Muslim people and safeguarded all the other forces behind the Easter attack. That is the curse that has struck them today.”
