Rapper dies at protest site
Rapper Shiraz Yoonus, better known by his stage name – ‘Shiraz Rude Bwoy’, had passed away in the early hours of today (12) after collapsing during the mass civilian protest at the Galle Face Green last night.
Shiraz had even performed for crowds and was pronounced dead upon admission to hospital.
It is said that he had succumbed to a suspected heart failure.
Meanwhile, the protesters are continuing their protest campaign for the fourth day today.
