Relatives visit Gota Go Gama with New Year goodies; Largest crowd reported yesterday!
People from all over the country are getting ready to come to Gota Go Gama today (14th) after the dawn of the New Year with sweets and goodies in support of the anti-government non-partisan protesters who are continuing their protest for the sixth consecutive day at Galle Face.
It is reported that ritual related to the visiting of relatives during the New Year season takes on a new twist this year.
The people of Negombo are already preparing their contributions for the protesters.
Recently, they also contributed by supporting the protesters and taking fish ambul thiyal for their consumption.
Meanwhile, a large sign saying GO HOME GOTA was erected near the main entrance of the Colombo Port City yesterday (13).
