Malwatta Maha Nayaka Thera decides not to meet politicians
The Chief Prelate of the Malwatta Chapter – Most Ven. Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala Thero has announced his decision not to allow any politicians to meet him in the future.
The Maha Nayaka Theros of three Chapters recently issued a set of proposals to resolve the prevalent issues in the country. However, no politician had responded so far.
Submitting four proposals, the Chief Prelates had warned if the country’s political leadership does not create political stability and resolve the economic crisis, the Maha Sangha of the three Chapters would unite and take action to declare a Sangha Convention.
