Sudden breakdown at Norochcholai
A technical breakdown was reported in a 270MW power generator at the Norochcholai Coal Power station.
In a Twitter message Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera said the CEB has been notified to fix the breakdown within five days.
He further stated that the CEB has also assured that it will manage the current power cuts without further extensions.
