China donates 33 tonnes of food rations to SL
The Yunnan Provincial government of China has donated 12,340 food packages and 33 tonnes of bulk essentials.
The donation, amounting to over Rs. 10 million, has been handed over to the needy people in Sri Lanka by the Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka – Qi Zhenhong and Madame Jin Qian today (06) ahead of the Vesak festival next week.
Ambassador Qi Zhenhong and Madame Jin Qian handed over a 1,000 food packages today while the bulk essentials were handed over to Foreign Secretary Jayanath Colombage yesterday.
