59 social media group admins in hot water
The Sri Lanka Police has warned of action against those using social media platforms to spark unrest.Issuing a statement, the Police said 59 social media groups and their admins have been identified in connection to inciting violence during the unrest.
They are to be dealt with under the cyber crime laws and criminal laws, a police media statement says.
Police also urged to report such persons to hotlines 1997, 118 or via telligp@police.gov.lk.
