The Court of Appeal today (28) decided to hear a writ application filed challenging the citizenship of Tourism State Minister Diana Gamage.

Accordingly, the Court of Appeal issued a notice to the respondents including State Minister Gamage to appear in court on December 12.

Issuing another order to the Immigration and Emigration Controller, the court said all the documents related to the citizenship of Ms. Gamage should be submitted to the court.

The Appellate Court bench consisting of Justices Sobitha Rajakaruna and Dhammika Ganepola issued this order allowing the hearing of a writ petition filed by social activist Oshala Herath.
