A father of two, who was found guilty of killing his wife’s alleged paramour by stabbing him 16-times, was sentenced to death by the Colombo High Court on Tuesday (7).

The Attorney General filed the case against the accused for killing Sandun Prasad in Mutuwal on March 12, 2018.

On one particular day, the accused had returned home from work to find his wife missing.He had started searching for his wife and had seen her travelling in a three-wheeler with the victim.The accused had chased after them, and had an argument with both his wife and the victim.After the event, the victim’s body was found on the street.
