The main Opposition party, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) today (20) commenced obtaining signatures for the No Confidence Motion to be presented against the Minister of Health – Keheliya Rambukwella.

Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (July 18), MP Sajith Premadasa warned that the Opposition will present a NCM against the Health Minister.

At the time, MP Sajith Premadasa alleged there was a severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies in Sri Lanka, while also claiming that several deaths have been reported in the recent past due to the administration of substandard medication at various hospitals in the country.

Opposition MPs Ranjith Maddumabandara, Lakshman Kiriella, Rajitha Senaratne and Kumara Welgama have already signed the NCM.Speaking in Parliament today, Opposition Leader – Sajith Premadasa urged MPs to sign the NCM if they had enough ‘spine’ to do so. Emphasizing the importance of the Health sector, he pointed out that the deterioration of the health sector could lead to a collapse of civilian life
