The drivers’ license printing activities carried out by the Sri Lanka Army for the last few years will be taken over by the Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) from September 01, DMT Commissioner General Nishantha Anuruddha Weerasinghe has said.
The printing process of the Sri Lanka drivers’ licenses was taken over by the Sri Lanka Army on January 01, 2021, through a special security system.Mr. Weerasinghe further said officers of the DMT are currently receiving training on the affairs of the department, and will be assigned to work on the printing process of driving licenses.
