The Dambulla Aura franchise has revealed two foreign player replacements for the upcoming edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL).
The decision comes as a result of unavailablily of Lungi Ngidi and Mathew Wade from participating in the highly anticipated tournament.
“We are excited to announce the inclusion of two talented players, Hasan Ali and Ben McDormet, in our Dambulla Aura squad for the Lanka Premier League this year,” said Isuru Mannapperuma, CEO of Dambulla Aura.
“While we are saddened by the unavailability of Lungi Ngini and Mathew Wade, we believe that Hasan and Ben will bring exceptional skills and experience to our team.”
Hasan Ali, the fiery Pakistani paceman, has earned a reputation as a lethal bowler with his ability to generate pace and swing the ball effectively. His inclusion is expected to add depth and firepower to the Aura bowling attack, offering a challenging prospect to opposing batsmen.
On the other hand, the hard-hitting Australian batsman, Ben McDormet, has caught the attention of cricket enthusiasts with his impressive stroke-play and adaptability to different game situations. His presence in the batting-order is anticipated to provide stability and explosive batting options for the Dambulla Aura team.
Dr. Viranjith Thambugala, the owner of the Dambulla Aura team, echoed similar sentiments and expressed his confidence in the squad’s performance in the upcoming league. With a mix of talent and experience, the Aura franchise is poised to make a significant impact in the Lanka Premier League and will undoubtedly be a team to watch out for.
