Sajith in deal with Basil; struggles to hold on to Opposition Leader post!
Democratic Left Front leader Vasudeva Nanayakkara says that the Samagi Jana Balawegaya is delaying the no-confidence motion against the government due to a deal between its leader Sajith Premadasa and MP Basil Rajapaksa.
He said this during a media briefing held at the Democratic Left Front office yesterday (26).
He noted that UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe is also involved in the conspiracy hatched by Basil Rajapaksa and the SJB to prevent the No Confidence Motion against the government.
Commenting further Parliamentarian Vasudeva Nanayakkara said, “It is Basil who is conniving with the SJB in this conspiracy. There is a deal between Basil and the SJB mediated by Ranil Wickremesinghe. It is the very people who were so adamantly against the government who have softened up now. If we try to do what the Opposition wants, this will never happen. If this is to happen, all this useless talk on both sides must stop. Currently, the SJB is heading to a point where this attempt at bringing the NCM against the government is not going to happen.”
