Stones hurled at pro-govt. march!
A person who had hurled stones at a pro-government protest march in Anuradhapura town today (11), has been arrested.
The rally was organized by a group including former North Central Provincial Council member S.M. Ranjith.
The suspect who had hurled stones at the protest march that was heading towards the clock tower. He was arrested immediately afterwards.
Meanwhile, several persons were seen leaving grass and cattle fodder along the road taken by the march.
A group of SLPP supporters and regional politicians attended the protest march.
