Minister’s son assaults two students over love affair
A group of youths have brutally attacked two students outside a popular private tuition class in Kiribathgoda recently.
The police said the 20-year-old son of Small and Medium Enterprises Development State Minister Prasanna Ranaweera was also among the assailants.
The Kiribathgoda Police have arrested five suspects including the son of the State Minister. They were later released on police bail.
During the questioning, the suspects said that one of the two students who were attacked had given a love letter to the girlfriend of the State Minister’s son’s friend.The two injured students have been discharged from the hospital.The State Minister’s son had arrived at the location of the attack in a Toyota 141 car bearing number plate WP KX 8472, which is registered under the Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Department of Motor Traffic revealed.
