Public anger over Derana calling Galle Face protest a beach fest
Leading TV channel – Ada Derana has come under serious fire on social media after a programme anchor at the channel – Mahieash Johnney contemptuously called the Galle Face protest as ‘Galle Face Beach Festival.
‘The comments were made during yesterday’s (17) episode of the programme ‘State of the Nation’ aired on Ada Derana 24.
The Galle Face protest movement is the largest gathering of the public seen in recent times. All masses irrespective of race and religion are seen at the protest which is continuing for 10 days now.
