The main entrance gate of Yala National Park at Palatupana, has been reopened.

The 07 bungalows at the National Park has also been reopened as usual, Yala National Park Warden Manoj Widyaratne has said.

In the aftermath of the recent rains, floods were reported from the park after minor irrigation tanks overflowed, prompting the closure of the main entrance.

According to reports, Wildlife officials and the army have repaired the main road network inside the park.
