The Police have initiated action against several public transportation buses that had been extensively modified, including one with a setup similar to a nightclub.
A senior officer involved in the inspection of the buses told the media that the buses had been inspected following complaints by the public.
He stated that video footage of some buses driving in a reckless manner had also been circulated on social media.
The Police officer further said that 54 buses were summoned to identify its owners, drivers, and assistants.
Stating that the inspections had been carried out together with officials from the Department of Motor Traffic, he said that the owners of the seized buses will be served prohibition orders.
The Police officer added that legal action will be initiated against the bus owners based on the advice of the officials from the Department of Motor Traffic. (NewsWire)
