Ishara Sewwandi, the alleged mastermind behind the courtroom assassination of underworld figure Ganemulla Sanjeewa, has reportedly fled to the Maldives via sea routes.
Sources indicate that a powerful underworld operative facilitated her escape to the Maldives before she could be arrested by Sri Lankan authorities.Sewwandi is accused of orchestrating the shooting that took place inside the Hulftsdorp Magistrate’s Court, where Sanjeewa was killed.Investigations reveal that the escape was meticulously planned and executed by an overseas underworld associate, who coordinated her relocation to the Maldives.
