Sri Lanka has been named among the top five countries that would grow the most in 2024, according to a report by Travel Off Path, a world-leading indie travel news source.

The list has been compiled by SEO specialist SALT.agency, which has analyzed a huge amount of internet search volume data to create its own prediction.

Describing Sri Lanka, the report states “The island nation of Sri Lanka has long fascinated travelers from around the world thanks to its exotic nature, warm climate, colorful culture, and amazing food.

“Regularly ranking as one of the cheapest locations for digital nomads, Sri Lanka can offer you a slower pace of life by the beach, with plenty of culture and natural wonders to keep you entertained in your downtime.

As per the report, Sri Lanka has recorded strong tourism figures throughout 2023, with visitors from the United States being among the largest groups.

“It’s a country that has experienced some civil unrest in recent years, but that seems to be calming (US Department of State ranks it at Level 2), which will only help its cause to become one of 2024’s most popular destinations,” the report added.

Sri Lanka is named alongside Tunisia, Mexico, Morocco, and the Dominican Republic.
