Person dies while waiting in Kottawa gas queue
A person who was waiting in a gas queue at the Kottawa bus station had died upon being admitted to the Homagama base hospital due to a sudden medical condition, the Kottawa Police said.
The police said that the victim has been identified as 63-year-old Jayatissa Perere, who is an electrical engineer residing in Kottawa.
He had come in a car to a gas distribution center in Kottawa and was waiting for gas when he had suddenly taken ill.
Those in the gas que had taken steps to rush him to the Homagama Hospital but, he had later died.
