The Sri Lankan team on Saturday (July 15) bagged the Silver medal in 4×400 Mixed Relay at the Asian Athletics Championships 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Accordingly, Aruna Dharshana, Tharushi Karunarathna, Kalinga Kumarage and Nadeesha Ramanayake clocked a time of 3.15.41 minutes to finish second while the Indian team bagged the Gold and Japan secured the Bronze.

The four sprinters have also set a new Sri Lankan record.

Meanwhile, Sri Lankan sprinter Nadeesha Ramanayake on Thursday (July 13) clocked a time of 52.61 seconds to win the gold in the Women’s 400m event at the Asian Athletics Championship 2023.
