Update from Anura Kumara Dissanayake
Today (9), the fifth and final day of our visit to India, we were scheduled to visit Kerala, which is ruled by the left-wing alliance led by the Communist Party of India (CPIM-Kerala).
In the morning, we met @PRajeevOfficial, the Minister of Industry and Law of the State government in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala.
Later, we joined an observation tour of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre. We participated in a special discussion with the director of that institute and exchanged views on the progress of the Indian space program. We also had the opportunity to visit the control centre and the space museum.
After that, we visited Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram, one of the first and most significant IT parks to provide infrastructure in India’s IT sector. We also discussed the special information related to the institution with its CEO.
Then, we participated in a presentation on the field of information technology made by the General Secretary of G Tech Institute and also joined an observation tour of Kerala University. We also had the opportunity to participate in a tour of the Vellar handicraft village in coastal Kovalam, south of the capital, Thiruvananthapuram.
