ARCHBISHOP OF COLOMBO LED A SILENT PROTEST IN COLOMBO WITH REVEREND FATHERS AND SISTERS

Talking about having a mandate of 6.9 mn, a joke – Fr. Cyril Gamini

Archbishop of Colombo – His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith led a silent protest in Colombo with Rev. Fathers and Rev. Sisters, today (5).

The silent protest, which commenced from Bishop House, proceeded towards the Borella Junction before returning back to the Bishop House in Borella.

“The people are calling for the President and the Parliament to resign. The people also want back the money that was stolen,” said Rev. Fr. Cyril Gamini.

Rev. Fr. Gamini added, “the government has been discredited in the face of the public. The do not have the mandate they had in the past. Saying that they have a mandate of 6.9 million today is a mere joke.”
