Arjuna to chair National Sports Council
Former Sri Lanka Cricket captain and former MP Arjuna Ranatunga has been appointed as the Chairman of the National Sports Council.
Minister of Sports Roshan Ranasingha has appointed Mr. Ranatunga to the chair of the 15-member council.
Tri Force commanders – Army Commander Lt. Gen. Vikum Liyanage, Air Force Commander Air Marshal Sudarshan Pathirana and Navy Commander Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugethanna, have also been added as members
As members of the Sports Council, the Commanders of the three armed forces, Army Commander Lt. Gen. Vikum Liyanage, Air Force Commander Air Marshal Sudarshan Pathirana and Navy Commander Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugethanna.
