Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe has been sacked as Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs and Minister of Irrigation., reports say.

According to reports,  Mr. Ranasinghe has been handed over the letter removing him as the Sports Minister, when he had gone to the Presidential Secretariat to attend this week’s Cabinet meeting.

Earlier today (27), Mr. Ranasinghe told parliament that his life is currently in danger and the President and his Chief of Staff – Mr. Sagala Ratnayake must take responsibility if he is assassinated.
