AT ARRIVAL TERMINAL AT BIA NEW RULES FOR PARKING

New rules for vehicles at Katunayake Airport arrival terminal

But

The Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited (AASL) has taken measures to ease congestion caused by vehicles parked at the arrival terminal of the Katunayake Airport.

Issuing a statement, the AASL said the decision has been taken to control congestion and the arrival of unauthorized vehicles and persons at the arrival terminal.

Accordingly, the parking of vehicles without a driver at the arrival terminal will be prohibited.

Vehicles arriving to pick up passengers should remain at the car park and arrive at the front of the airport’s arrival terminal only at the scheduled time for the pickup.

At the time of departure, an extra fee would be charged for vehicles that were parked with the driver for more than 30 minutes at the arrival terminal causing traffic congestion.
