Golden ambitions land passenger in hot water at Airport
A suspect has been arrested at the airport with illegally imported gold items.
Acting on intelligence received about a passenger arriving from Abu Dhabi, airport police arrested the suspect last night (04).
During the arrest, authorities seized four gold necklaces, one pendant, two bracelets, a gold bangle, and a gold ring in the suspect’s possession.
The arrested individual is a 25-year-old resident of the Welamboda area.
Further investigations into the incident are being carried out by airport police.
