ATTACK BY SWAMP OF WASPS SENDS 35 SCHOOL CHILDREN IN KEKIRAWA SCHOOL TO HOSPITAL

35 hospitalized after wasp attack at Kekirawa school

 

At least 35 students and teachers have been hospitalized following a wasp attack in Kekirawa.

The Lankadeepa newspaper reported that children aged between five to ten years from Ihala Kagame Primary School were among those injured.

Teachers and parents who rushed to help the children were also injured by the swarm of wasps.

The injured were admitted to Kekirawa Base Hospital for treatment.

It was reported that one child who was in a serious condition was transferred to Dambulla Hospital for further treatment.
