Passenger arrest for harassment during flight, bailed
The passenger who was arrested for allegedly attempting to sexually harass two SriLankan Airlines flight attendants, was released on two sureties of Rs. 100,000 each by Colombo Chief Magistrate Tanuja Lakmali today (March 12).
The court also imposed a travel ban on the suspect.(Previous News on 12th March, 2025 at 12:00pm)
Passenger arrested over alleged sexual assault on flight A passenger on a SriLankan Airlines flight from Mumbai to Katunayake Airport has been arrested over attempting to sexually assault passengers and flight attendants. The incident occurred early this morning (March 12) on flight UL-144.
The 65-year-old suspect is a dual citizen of Sweden and Sri Lanka and a Jaffna resident.He had reportedly began behaving in a disruptive manner towards the passengers on board and later attempted to sexually assault two flight attendants after being heavily intoxicated on the flight.
