Police find body of missing Pera undergraduate
The Peradeniya Police says the body of a missing undergraduate from the University of Peradeniya, has been found in the Mahaweli River in Gatambe.
Police received a complaint over the disappearance of the 24-year-old from Yakkala on September 16th. His parents were unable to reach him on the phone since the 16th, had visited the private residence he was boarded at in Peradeniya, during which they discovered a letter purportedly written by the student.The letter stated that they would be able to find his body on the Mahaweli river banks.
The youth is a fourth year student of the Arts Faculty at the university
