The Colombo High Court today (09) ordered that the case filed by the Bribery Commission against MP Wimal Weerawansa be taken up again on October 27.

The order was given following a request made by the defendant seeking a date to present oral evidence related to the preliminary objections filed by the defendant to the effect that this case cannot be maintained.

The Bribery Commission filed the case alleging that the MP failed to disclose assets and how he earned more than Rs.75 million while working as a minister from 2010 to 2014.
