Central Bank of Sri Lanka has introduced a new incentive scheme exclusively for Sri Lankan migrant workers and their beneficiaries.
The incentive scheme is applicable for foreign currencies remitted equivalent to Rs. 20,000 or more in a single transaction.
Issuing a notice, the CBSL said that an incentive of Rs. 1000 will be granted as reimbursement of the transaction cost.
The incentive will be provided by licensed banks and remittance-receiving agents.
