CENTRAL BANK OF SRI LANKA REVEALS THE DEPRECIATION FURTHER OF SL RUPEE AGAINST MANY FOREIGN CURRENCIES

The Sri Lanka rupee has further depreciated against several foreign currencies, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) reported today.

As per the official exchange rates announced for today, the rupee has depreciated by Rs. 5 against the US Dollar.The buying rate of the US Dollar is Rs. 264.66 and the selling rate is Rs. 274.99, while it was Rs. 269.99 yesterday.

The selling rate of the Australian Dollar has increased by Rs. 4 to Rs. 199.45 from yesterday’s rate of Rs. 195.34.The Canadian Dollar is being sold at Rs. 216.75, an increase of Rs. 5 from yesterday’s rate of Rs. 211.63 The selling rate of the Sterling Pound has increased by Rs. 8 to Rs. 360.18 from Rs. 352.66.
