Chain snatching mason arrested by police
The Horana Police Headquarters said that a suspect, who snatched a gold chain from a woman’s neck near the Sri Pali University in Horana and fled, was arrested yesterday (28).
The suspect’s wife was also arrested when she had pawned the 1 ½ sovereign chain and pendent valued at around Rs. 300,000 to a jewellery shop in Horana.
The robbery of the gold chain was recorded on a CCTV camera and the suspect was arrested through the registration number of the suspect’s motorcycle.
