Chamika Karunaratne credits Sanath Jayasuriya for LPL success
Sri Lankan Cricketer Chamika Karunaratna says that cricket legend Sanath Jayasuriya has helped and supported him to get back on track when he struggled for form.
Speaking to Media, Chamika expressed his gratitude to Former Captain of Sri Lanka Cricket, Sanath Jayasuriya for pushing him during his dark times adding that he is immensely happy to get back to form in the ongoing Lanka Premier League
Chamika Karunaratne excelled in both bat and the ball in LPL after losing his position in the Sri Lanka national side.
“Sanath sir really helped me a lot when I was struggling, he talked to me a lot and helped me understand my role with the bat and ball” Chamika Karunaratne said.
“I am also controlling my aggression now, we talked about all these things and he gave me some valuable advice” Chamika Karunaratne added.
Chamika Karunaratna was named the Player of the Match during the Kandy Falcons victory against the Colombo Stars yesterday, with him taking four wickets for eleven runs.
Sanath Jayasuriya is the mentor of the Kandy Falcons who are currently top of the table, having qualified for the play offs.
