New Chief of Staff & Dy. Chief of Staff of Navy, appointed
A new Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff has been appointed to the Sri Lanka Navy.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed Rear Admiral Damian Fernando as the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy and Rear Admiral Chinthaka Kumarasinghe and as the Deputy Chief of Staff with effective from Dec. 31, 2024.
The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda today (Jan. 15) formally handed over the letters of appointment in this regard and expressed his best wishes.
