No change in MRP of rice – CAA
The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) said in a statement that the business community should sell rice according to the Maximum Retail Price (MRP).
The CAA has not made any amendments, cancellations or increased the existing rice prices in the Gazette Notification No. 82 issued on May 02 which stipulated a maximum price for rice.
According to the gazette notification the MRP of a kilo of Nadu rice is 220 rupees, a kilo of samba rice is 230 rupees and a kilo of keeri samba rice is 260 rupees.
