Details revealed on container operation with STF guard 
Details have emerged on an operation that had taken place at the Jaya Container Terminal.
Footage of the incident had made rounds online, sparking many speculations. In a clarification, the Ports Authority of Sri Lanka clarifies that the operation included in the video is a re-export of radioactive materials for disposal with the approval of the Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Regulatory Council and deployment of the Special Task Force is a part of the official protocol when such an operation is carried out.
“Therefore, the Sri Lanka Ports Authority kindly requests the public not to be deceived by the false information spread by irresponsible media institutes and social media users,” the SLPA added.
