Sapugaskanda power station to shut down in 48 hours! The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) Joint Trade Union Alliance states that the Sapugaskanda Power Station will shut down within 2-3 days maximum.
UPFA chairman Ranjan Jayalal says that the possible shutdown is due to the lack of furnace fuel for the power plant.
As a result, the country will plunge into darkness indefinitely, he added.
