CPC behind all incredible achievements in China – Asst. Foreign Minister
The 2022 programme of the China International Press Communication Center (CIPCC), hosted by the China Public Diplomacy Association (CPDA), officially kicked off in Beijing last Friday (12).Assistant Foreign Minister – Ms. Hua Chunying as well as CPDA Chairman – Mr. Wu Hailong as well as representatives from diplomatic missions joined the event held at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.
The CIPCC consists of six sub-centers such as Africa, Asia Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, Eurasia, Arabia and Central and Eastern Europe. The CIPCC program was limited to online programmes from 2020 due to the COVID-19 and is restarting this year as a 06-month programme from May – November this year.The CIPCC program, together with the Renmin University in China, will organize lectures on China development, while the programme covers all major political and diplomatic events in China. It will also include exchanges with officials from relevant ministries and departments and Chinese media organizations, visits in some representative provinces and cities, and exploration of traditional Chinese culture.
From 2014 – 2019, the programme has hosted 283 journalists from 104 countries. This year, organizers expect around 90 journalists from more than 60 countries.
Director of the CAPPC sub center (China-Asia Pacific Press Center), Mr. Yu Lei said that this programme is organized with the intention of providing a broad and deep understanding of China.
